Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) is more commonly known as sleep apnoea. OSA affects 1-2% of the adult population and most often results in excessive sleepiness, impaired intellectual performance or focus and an increased risk of accidents. Overall OSA impacts an individuals quality of life.
Of the 1-3% of children who are diagnosed with OSA, around 25% of these children have a pre-existing condition such as obesity, sickle cell disease, Down syndrome etc.
