International Nurses' Day

International Nurses’ Day – 12^th May 2021

Aptly celebrated on the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, today is International Nurses’ Day and focuses on the contribution that nurses make to societies around the world.

The care, work and dedication that nurses have on a day-to-day basis is amazing; to carry on while factoring in the impact and effects of Covid-19 is truly exceptional. To say that the last 12 months or so have been a challenge for nurses is likely understating how incredibly difficult some days must have been for them and highlights how vital their role is.

On behalf of everyone at Dolby Vivisol, we would like to say an enormous thank you to all nurses, assistants, carers, home care technicians and healthcare professionals on every level who have selflessly continued to work throughout the pandemic to help save and protect lives.

The theme for International Nurses’ Day in 2021 is ‘Nurses: A Voice to Lead - A vision for future healthcare’. #IND2021 will focus on the changes to and innovations in nursing and how this will ultimately shape the future of healthcare. Further information can be found here
